This is a very nice toy and I hope that makes you happy my daughters so they do not have to buy a real hamster that is what you really want (LOL). But, these prices are ridiculous. Amazon is fulfilling those orders through 3 parties who are setting prices and therefore not exactly blame Amazon, but it is disappointing how Amazon is marketing. However, if you promised a little 'these toys, this may be the only way to do it. Someone I know contacted the manufacturer and from what I understand the shops are getting so many before Christmas and then thats it. Apparently they have not been able to do enough to keep pace with demand. I spoke with someone at Walmart today and said they have already received their allocation and will not be more before the holidays and were already sold out. Yikes!

Am more than a little 'disappointed in the Amazon, usually my favorite "mall" of choice. This little toy - one of the "hottest toys of Christmas 2009" is designed to be a great gift in this difficult period. I got one a couple of weeks ago because it seemed interesting and I needed a small gift for a party in the hospital with a limit $[...].

The child who has received has been over-the-top excited and I looked at the zip faux rodent, Dodge and weave all over the floor. And he had all the adults entranced and laughing.

Delivered from child to child, dropped, run into furniture and fully inspected by ten four year olds, I think it is tough enough.
The other party-goers agree that it was a super gift.

[...] A head, parents with a couple of little ones can take a dip super holiday with small stuffed animals and accessories. What could better as we head into what will surely be a tough holiday for so many?

I'm lucky, my son has become so the urgency of fun stuff for a holiday budget has withdrawn. Her skills are easy (well, sort of!). But there are still children in the family and certainly remember the difficult years when we had to fight to try to ensure that all boys who delight enjoyed himself on Christmas Day we had as children.
